The path for the Waqf Amendment Bill to become an Act has been cleared, after the Lok Sabha's approval, now only the President's approval is awaited. Despite the opposition from the opposition parties in Parliament and various Muslim organizations on the streets, the government has succeeded in getting the bill passed in both the houses. Meanwhile, a Congress MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi have also filed a petition against this bill. Shiv Sena UBT group MP Sanjay Raut reacted to this today. Raut has made a big statement that this file is closed for us. There is no unity among the opposition parties against the Waqf Amendment Bill. Yesterday, Congress MP Mohammad Javed and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi have also filed a petition. DMK has announced that it will move the Supreme Court against this bill. But, Shiv Sena UBT group MP Sanjay Raut has made a big statement saying, 'This file is closed for us'. Due to this, there is no unity in the India Aghadi on the Waqf Bill.
MP Sanjay Raut made this statement today in a press conference. Sanjay Raut said that we have done our job. We have said everything that needed to be said in both the houses of Parliament. This file is now closed for us. We will not go to the Supreme Court, Raut also said.
Bill brought to grab land - Raut
Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) party opposed this bill in both the houses. Sanjay Raut said that this bill was not brought to protect Muslim interests, but it is a step like trade or business. The government's focus is on acquiring valuable Waqf properties and lands rather than the welfare of Muslims. Their estimated value is around Rs 2 lakh crore.

"We will present our case and oppose it. This bill is not brought to take care of Muslims or their property but to grab the lands of Muslims. When they see the land, they go crazy. They will soon grab the waqf land," MP Raut also alleged.
