Politics is heating up over the rising coronavirus cases in Maharashtra and shortage of vaccines. The state has blamed the Centre over being biased and not providing adequate covid vaccine supply to the state as it cases ccontinue to rise here. Meanwhile, Sambhaji Bhide, the head of Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan, had made a controversial statement about deaths happening in the state due to covid.

Bhide had said,"Covid cases in the state is rising. But corona is not a disease. Corona is a mental illness. People who die from corona are not fit to live. It is foolish to impose restrictions to prevent corona".

Reacting to his statement, BJP leader and MP Udayan Raje Bhosale got angry when reporters asked him to comment on the issue. Bhosale said," Don't ask me to comment on things others have said as they know it better from which angle they spoke. Or I can comment on the issue after speaking to Bhide," Udayan Raje has said.

If family planning had been done in the country, there wouldn't have been shortage of corona vaccine today. Corona vaccine should be distributed based on the population. There is no point in creating controversy over the distribution of vaccine, said Bhosale.

He further said that lockdown will only do damage for the people of the state. Therefore, lockdown cannot be an option.
