A woman, in Maharashtra’s Thane, was allegedly murdered by her 50-year-old husband after he came across a video featuring her in a compromising position with her boyfriend. The accused, Rafique Mohammad Yunus (50) of Bhiwandi, later turned himself in to the police. According to the police, Yunus and his now-deceased wife Nasreen stayed with their three children in Bhiwandi’s Ansar Nagar area. The pandemic-lockdown robbed Yunus of his job, following which Nasreen, along with the three children, moved to the house of her sister in Nagaon locality.
Police said a nude video of Nasreen with her lover, identified as Saddam, had gone viral on social media. When Yunus saw the video, he got filled with rage. Following this, he went to meet his wife at her sister’s house, where he allegedly stabbed her to death with a knife, according to a report by The Times of India.After the crime, he went to Shanti Nagar police station and surrendered before the police. “The probe revealed that the accused was concerned and ashamed after his wife’s affair with another man went viral on social media,” the TOI report quoted a police officer as saying.
