Jitendra Awhad Defends Sharad Pawar, Claims Internal Party Pressure on Beed Issue

Anjali Damania criticized Sharad Pawar's statement that some people took a stand to misuse power and the consequences of this are being seen in Beed today for the past few months. Not only that, she also advised Sharad Pawar to do some self-examination. Responding to Damania's criticism, Sharad Pawar's NCP leader Jitendra Awhad said, "Damania does not know how many times Sharad Pawar had asked for the resignations of whom."

Speaking after Sharad Pawar's press conference, Anjali Damania said, "Be it Dhananjay Munde, Sandeep Kshirsagar, Suresh Dhas, the former Jaydutt Kshirsagar... Bajrang Sonawane too, all these people, they have grown up under his (Sharad Pawar) tutelage. How are they? What are they? The NCP was in the Sharad Pawar group earlier."

"He has grown up in his own style. If Sharad Pawar is saying at this time that the situation in Beed is serious, then Sharad Pawar also needs to introspect on how much of your contribution was in making all these people grow up", criticized Anjali Damania.

Responding to Anjali Damania's criticism, Jitendra Awhad said, "I don't think that what was going on in Sharad Pawar's mind, will everything come before the public. How many times did he ask for resignations? And from whom? And then later Anjali Damania may not know how internal pressure arose, if I ever meet her personally, I will definitely tell her", replied

"Some people have taken a stand to misuse power and we are seeing the consequences of this in Beed today for the past few months. The state government, regardless of who it is, needs to formulate a very strict policy regarding anyone who takes the law into their own hands and spoils the atmosphere. We should take care of how Beed can return to its former glory days," said Sharad Pawar, speaking for the first time on Dhananjay Munde's resignation.
