There is discussion in political circle about the possibility of unity between Thackery brothers (Uddhav Thackeray and Raj). Raj Thackery in his recent interview gave a hint indirectly to extend his hand to Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray for an alliance. In response this Sanjay Raut stated that, we are definitely looking at all these things from a positive perspective. On this Deputy CM and Shiv sena leader Eknath Shinde got reacted and got angry on press.
While in his village Dara, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reacted angrily when questioned by journalists about a potential Uddhav-Raj Thackeray alliance, pushing one aside and saying, "Let him go, man, what are you talking about?" This follows a "goodwill meeting" on Thursday between Shinde and Raj Thackeray. Although Shinde visited Thackeray's residence after the assembly elections, with speculation about a municipal election alliance, Shinde later clarified that their recent meeting focused on reminiscing about Balasaheb and did not involve Mahayuti discussions.

Raj Thackeray stated regarding a possible reunion, "When I was in Shiv Sena, I had no objection to working with Uddhav. But does the other party have any intention of working with him? If Maharashtra wants it, Maharashtra should go and say so. I do not bring my ego into such small and big matters." Responding to Thackeray's proposal, Uddhav Thackeray stated, "I am also ready to put aside petty disputes. I appeal to all Marathi people to come together for the benefit of Maharashtra."
