Mumbai, Maharashtra (March 19, 2025): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has confirmed that he will be moving to the official residence, Varsha Bungalow, in the first week of April. The announcement was made during his participation in the Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards 2025 ceremony on Wednesday.
During the LMOT 2025 Award, Nationalist Congress Party - Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) leader and party’s state president Jayant Patil interviewed Chief Minister Fadnavis. At the start of the interview, Patil asked Fadnavis when he would be moving into the Varsha Bungalow.
Fadnavis responded with the date. He explained, "This question has been raised by some people out of curiosity and by others with genuine interest. I will be moving to Varsha in April. My daughter's tenth-grade exams will end on March 27, and after that, I plan to shift in the first week of April."
Varsha Bungalow, located in Malabar Hill, has traditionally served as the residence of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Although Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as chief minister on December 5, 2024, he has not yet moved from his current residence, Sagar.
