Maha CM Thackeray holds meeting with BMC Commissioner to review COVID19 situation
Of late, Maharashtra has been witnessing a surge in Covid-19 infections which has increased Thackeray government's problems. For the last 4 days, the state has been reporting more than 6,000 coronavirus patients per day. The Chief Minister had also conveyed to te citizens of the state that next 8 days are important.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday has called for a meeting with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner and officials to review the coronavirus situation in the state, according to a report.
According to an official statement, with 5,210 new infections, Maharashtra's coronavirus tally rose to 21,06,094.
The state, which has witnessed an upsurge in coronavirus cases since 10 February -- reported 6,112 new infections on 19 February.
It reported 6,281 and 6,971 new cases on 20 February and 21 February, respectively.
