Shocking news emerged from Maharashtra's Dhule district, where a 20-year-old man was brutally beaten to death by villagers for suspecting him of meeting his girlfriend. The incident took place in Kalapani village of the district, and later, the victim's body was found in a drain.
According to the police the villagers held Kamalsingh Pavara hostage overnight after capturing him. Police have registered a murder case against seven people and arrested one accused in the case.

After an initial investigation, police said that the four boys went to Kalapani village on February 18 to meet their girlfriends. One of the boys was caught by the girl's family when they were talking after meeting each other.
"On February 18, in Kalapani, four boys went to meet their two female friends. While one boy was talking to a girl, her family saw them and attacked the boys," said Police Inspector Jaipal Hire.
