Maharashtra Budget 2021-22 was presented by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar in the Legislative Assembly on Monday. This is the second budget of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in the state. 

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Ajit Pawar has given a big gift to the women of the state. The Finance Minister has announced the Rajmata Jijau Grihaswamini Yojana in the state. Under this scheme, when any family in the state buys a house in the name of the lady of the house, a one per cent Stamp duty relaxation will be given. Ajit Pawar has announced that the details of this scheme will be announced soon and it will be implemented from April 1, 2021. 

The Kranti Jyoti Savitribai Phule scheme is being launched to provide free travel to schools and colleges for students from all rural talukas of the state, under which students up to class XII will be able to travel by free bus, announced Ajit Pawar. 1,500 hybrid buses for girl students to go to schools. In addition, free travel on MSRTC buses for girl students in rural Maharashtra.
