Maharashtra Cabinet Unveils Major Development Projects and Boosts Anti-Drug Campaign Across the State
On February 18, the Maharashtra Cabinet authorised a number of significant measures, such as the creation of the Sixth State Finance Commission and 346 additional posts within the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF). The Maharashtra government said that the ANTF would be established to fight drug-related crimes and that 346 additional positions would be added to expand its capabilities.

The government will give Rs. 1,594 crore for solar power projects to increase efficiency of Maisal Upsa Irrigation Scheme. This scheme will provide irrigation facilities to 1,08,197 hectares of drought prone areas. (Ministry of Water Resources)
