Maharashtra CM chairs meeting over preventive measures taken to curb COVID-19 spread in Thane
CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray chaired a review meeting to assess preventive measures taken by Thane Municipal Corporation to curtail the spread of Coronavirus. Minister Eknath Shinde, Minister Jitendra Awhad & Aaditya Thackeray were also present in the meeting.
CM Thackeray directed authorities to set up ‘Dakshata Samitis’ in all wards and continue social awareness drives.
Marking containment zones, contact tracing, wearing masks, washing hands & following rules continue to be the best measures to combat the pandemic, reiterated the CM.
The COVID-19 tally in Thane reached 1,14,765 on Monday after 881 new cases were found in the Maharashtra district, officials said.
The district also reported 28 more deaths due to COVID-19, taking the total number of fatalities to 3,268.
