Maharashtra's gram panchayat elections, vote counting is currently underway. Voting for the 14,000 gram panchayats across the state took place on Friday on January 15. Maharashtra's ruling Shiv Sena is ahead of the BJP in the gram panchayat elections, counting of which is currently on.

Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party has won a seat in Maharashtra's Gram Panchayat elections. The AAP won five of the seven seats in Dapkyal Gram Panchayat in Latur district.

Aam Aadmi Party's Maharashtra Youth President Ajinkya Shinde has tweeted about the victory of AAP candidates. Ajinkya Shinde has congratulated the winning candidates. Also Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal congratulated the winning candidates. Kejriwal has tweeted in Marathi ,"Congratulations to the winners! Realize the trust placed in you by the people, serve the people. Best wishes for the future," tweeted Kejriwal.

In Latur district, BJP has won the highest number of seats. But since the Aam Aadmi Party has opened an account in this district, it has caught everyone's attention. Under the leadership of AAP's Latur district president Pratap Bhosale, AAP has won in the Gram Panchayat at Dapkyal.
