Maharashtra Minister of Social Justice and NCP leader Dhananjay Munde, who was afflicted by Covid-19, has been cured and will be discharged on Monday from hospital, a party official said.

The NCP leader was detected Covid-19 positive, but asymptomatic, on June 12 at his native place Beed and shifted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai the following day.

After completing the treatment, Munde will be discharged by the hospital on Monday evening but he will remain at home for further quarantine as per the treatment protocols.

He was the third minister in Maharashtra to contract the virus. Jitendra Awhad (NCP) and Ashok Chavan (Congress) had tested positive earlier; both recovered from the infection.
