Maharashtra Minister Hasan Mushrif Resigns as Washim Guardian Minister, Cites Travel Difficulties Between Kolhapur, Mumbai and Washim
Maharashtra Medical Education Minister Hasan Mushrif has stepped down as the guardian minister of Washim district, citing difficulties in managing travel between Kolhapur, Mumbai and Washim while handling ministerial duties. Mushrif, who last visited Washim for the Republic Day flag-hoisting ceremony on January 26, did not return afterward.
Sources indicate that Sports Minister Datta Mama Bharne will soon take over as Washim’s guardian minister. Meanwhile, the appointment of Prakash Abitkar as Kolhapur’s guardian minister has reportedly displeased Mushrif and Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Kshirsagar.

Separately, disputes over the guardian minister posts for Raigad and Nashik continue. While Girish Mahajan will retain the Nashik post, the Raigad dispute remains unresolved, with both Shiv Sena and NCP engaged in the position.
