Wada police in Palghar district on Tuesday raided a chemical company & seized raw material and manufactured hand sanitizer being made without FDA approval.Total seizure is valued around Rs 19.06 lakhs and a case has also been registered against the company. 

There is a shortage of masks and hand sanitizers across the country as people are bulk buying them for protection against COVID-19. The chemical company named Saru Chemicals was manufacturing fake sanitizers to be sold in the market. 

The local crime branch of Boisar raided the unit located in Hamrapur MIDC area of Wada. Around 4,000 sealed bottles, raw materials and machineries were seized from the factory.
