In a shocking turn of events, a stray dog was discovered inside the mess at IIIT Nagpur,  eating from used student plates in the dishwashing area, sparking immediate outrage among students and staff alike. The presence of the animal in the food preparation area has raised serious concerns about the institute's hygiene standards and food safety protocols, with many fearing potential health risks such as contamination and the transmission of diseases.

The disturbing incident has triggered a wave of protests on campus, as students demand immediate action from the university administration. With Sheela Caterers responsible for the food services on campus, questions regarding their accountability and the sanitation practices being followed have intensified.
