Two police personnel died of coronavirus in Mumbai on Thursday, informed Maharashtra Police.

One of the deceased identified as HC Dilip Patil was attached to the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad. The other personnel who lost his life due to coronavirus identified as Bhivsen Haribhau Pingle Assistant sub-inspector (ASI)from Mumbai. 

"ASI Bhivsen Haribhau Pingle from Mumbai lost his life to Coronavirus. May his soul rest in peace.DGP and all ranks of Maharashtra Police offer their condolences to the Pingle family," the Maharashtra Police tweeted.

In another tweet Maharashtra Police offered condolence to, "HC Dilip Patil from ATS, Mumbai lost his life to Coronavirus. May his soul rest in peace. DGP and all ranks of Maharashtra Police offer their condolences to the Patil family."

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases as of Wednesday in Maharashtra Police is now 1388 including 948 active cases, 428 recovered and 12 deaths," said Maharashtra Police.
