Maharashtra Weather Forecast: IMD Issues Yellow Alert As Unseasonal Rainfall Likely in Vidarbha, Marathwada and Konkan Over Next 3 Days
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rain over the next three days in Vidarbha, Marathwada and Konkan (From April 16 to 18), while the rest of Maharashtra is expected to experience dry weather. Changes in the state's weather patterns indicate that the state could witness unseasonal rainfall in the upcoming days. There is a possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds with speeds of 40 - 50 kmph and lightning very likely at isolated places in Akola, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal.

A rain forecast has also been issued for certain districts in Marathwada. A yellow alert has been issued for Dharashiv, Latur, and Nanded districts, with expectations of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. Rain is also forecast in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Jalna districts.

In Solapur district, light rain is expected over the next four days, while Kolhapur and Sangli districts are likely to receive light rain from today until Wednesday. In the Konkan region, light rainfall is expected in the Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri districts on Tuesday (April 15) and Wednesday (April 16).

According to the latest local forecast, Mumbai and its suburbs will experience mainly clear skies over the next 24 hours. However, residents can expect hot and humid conditions, particularly in isolated pockets across the city and surrounding areas.
