The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of unseasonal rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in some districts of Maharashtra on Tuesday, March 25. A yellow alert has been issued for Sindhudurg in Konkan, as well as Kolhapur and Sangli districts in central Maharashtra.
Light rain is expected in Solapur, Satara, Latur, and Dharashiv districts. The rest of Maharashtra will experience a rise in temperature over the next five days, with the maximum temperature expected to increase by two to three degrees Celsius.
No rainfall is predicted in Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada in the coming days, meaning residents will have to endure intense heat. Meanwhile, temperatures in the state have begun rising again. Akola recorded a maximum temperature of forty point two degrees Celsius today, while Nandurbar registered forty point eight degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature is also currently above normal, causing noticeable heat from as early as ten o’clock in the morning. In Marathwada, the maximum temperature is expected to gradually rise over the next three to four days. The minimum temperature is likely to increase slightly in the southern part of Marathwada, while a slight decrease is expected in the northern part.
