Maharashtra Weather Update: Heatwave Intensifies in April After Brief Relief From Rains

The minimum temperature in the state has increased due to the onset of hot winds from the north. In Madhya Maharashtra, Jalgaon, Nashik, Solapur, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, Yavatmal and Wardha in Vidarbha, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Parbhani in Marathwada have crossed the 40 marks. The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Akola at 43.2 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the maximum temperature in the state will increase by two to three degrees Celsius in the next two to three days.

As soon as the month of April began, unseasonal rains appeared in most parts of the state. Hailstorms also occurred in some areas. An internal low-pressure area had formed from Central India to the south, and the state received rain due to evaporative winds coming from the Bay of Bengal.

Heatwave
The rains in the past few days have brought relief from the unbearable heat. However, now the low-pressure area has receded, and hot winds are coming from the north. Due to the increase in humidity in the air, a heat wave has spread in the state. The minimum temperature has also increased by two to three degrees. The Meteorological Department warned that the heat wave will increase in the state in the next few days.

Unseasonal clouds again
The weather in the country is likely to change again during April 10 and unseasonal clouds are likely to form. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of lightning, strong winds and stormy weather along with light rain.
