Maharashtra Weather Update: Slight Temperature Drop With Light Rain Expected, Says IMD

After a steady rise in temperatures since February 2025, Sunday, February 23, saw a slight drop in both maximum and minimum temperatures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts cloudy conditions with a possibility of light rain in parts of Maharashtra over the next two days.

Northeast India is currently experiencing a favourable rainfall environment, which could bring some rain and strong winds to the region. While light rain is expected on February 24, most parts of Maharashtra will remain dry. Temperatures are expected to rise again in the coming days, with the heat intensifying over the next few weeks.

On Sunday, Solapur recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state, 37.9 degrees Celsius, while Jalgaon recorded the lowest temperature, 14 degrees Celsius. In the last few days, the maximum temperature in the state has increased, while the minimum temperature has been decreasing.

Maximum and Minimum Temperatures:

February 23: Max 37.9°C, Min 19.9°C
February 22: Max 38.0°C, Min 21.6°C
February 21: Max 37.6°C, Min 22.0°C
February 20: Max 38.1°C, Min 20.2°C

Residents, especially farmers, are advised to monitor weather changes closely and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the heat. The impact of the heat may be more pronounced in the coming days.
