MLA Suresh Dhas, who confronted Dhananjay Munde over the Santosh Deshmukh murder and crop insurance scam, met Munde in a closed room last week, leading to criticism. Following this, Dhas visited Santosh Deshmukh's family and spoke with the villagers of Massajog, who expressed concerns about collusion between goons and the police. Manoj Jarange Patil reiterated his disapproval of Dhas's actions.
While the Chief Minister transferred the Superintendent of Police, Dhananjay Deshmukh questioned Dhas about the fate of lower-ranking officers, noting that all police officials, including the Deputy Superintendent, are his friends. Villagers demanded the transfer of all involved officers and called for punishment rather than mere transfers. This prompted further criticism from Manoj Jarange Patil.
Patil stated, "The subject of Suresh Dhas is over for me. I don't want to discuss it anymore. He received support from the community and should not have met such a cruel person. If pressured by the party, he should have been honest about it. Dhas should have declared he cannot betray the community, refused to meet Dhananjay Munde, and resigned from the party and his MLA seat."
Meanwhile, after meeting Santosh Deshmukh's family in Massajog, BJP MLA Suresh Dhas visited Mahadev Munde's family in Parli. On his way to a worker's house, he faced opposition from Dhananjay Munde's supporters, who displayed black flags and chanted slogans against him.
