MLC By-Polls 2025: BJP Releases List of Three Candidates

After receiving approval from the Central Election Committee (CEC), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on March 16 released the names of three candidates for the next Maharashtra Legislative Council by-elections.

Sandip Diwakarrao Joshi, Sanjay Kishanrao Kenekar, and Dadarao Yadavrao Keche are the three candidates of the BJP.

In order to improve the BJP's position in the state legislature, by-elections will be held to replace open seats in the Legislative Council. Following the current MLCs' victory in the state assembly election last year, five seats in the state legislative council became vacant. On March 3, the Indian Election Commission made public the specifics of the by-elections for these five seats.
