The number of coronavirus cases in the country are rising day by day. Maharashtra is one of the worst hit state by the novel coronavirus.

On 31st May the fourth phase of the nationwide lockdown ended. Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday announced to extend the lockdown till June 30 with lot of relaxations.

The new Lockdown 5.0 guidelines issued by the state government has been criticized by MNS party general secretary Kirtikumar Shinde. Shinde slammed Uddhav for issuing the lockdown guideline in English. He tweeted,"Congratulations to Chief Minister Uddhavji Thackeray for making English the 'Official Language' of Maharashtra. If the state government's lockdown advisory titled Mission Begin Again is not published in Marathi, then CM should address the state in English while doing Facebook Live."

The MNS leader demanded that the lockdown guidelines should have been issued in Marathi as majority population of the state understands the language better than English.
