'Modi Will Have to Retire After 75', Sanjay Raut Takes a Swipe at PM Modi's Succession

Following the Pm Modi's Nagpur visit, there is the discussion in political circle about the meet. There are talks that this meet was for the discussion about Modi's successor. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut had made a statement that Narendra Modi's next heir will be from Maharashtra and that the Sangh will decide it. On this, state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had retorted that in Indian culture, children are not thought of or even wanted while the father is alive. This is all Mughal culture, so now it is not time to choose a successor for anyone, anywhere. MP Sanjay Raut hinted at Narendra Modi's eventual departure, citing RSS principles and drawing a parallel to Ram and Krishna leaving after fulfilling their incarnations. Sanjay Raut said that Narendra Modi himself has made a rule that no one should remain in a position of power after 75 years in his party. It has been applied to many prominent leaders, including Lal Krishna Advani. So, is Narendra Modi beyond this rule? The Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh had approved that rule. For that, they went to discuss. Narendra Modi is completing 75 years on September 17. He has to retire according to the rules he himself made. Devendra Fadnavis will not decide this, no matter how much he talks, and what he has said is that the heir is not decided while the father is alive, it is Mughal culture, who is the father? Modi is the Prime Minister. There is a temporary system. Ram and Krishna came and left after their incarnation work was completed. They left after completing whatever work they had taken on. Narendra Modi's incarnation work is also over, he will also have to leave, he has said.

Lal Krishna Advani was evicted like Shah Jahan.

Sanjay Raut further commented on the political trajectory of Devendra Fadnavis, drawing a comparison between past and present leadership transitions within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He stated, "While his father was still alive... Lal Krishna Advani was sidelined, much like Shah Jahan, who was imprisoned despite being alive. He was removed, and Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister." Raut highlighted Advani’s contributions to the party, saying, "It was Lal Krishna Advani who raised the flag of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The glorious BJP of today was built by leaders like him, who struggled to bring the party to power from just two parliamentary seats. The entire Ayodhya movement, which now echoes with chants of ‘Ram, Ram, Ram,’ and the prominence of Lord Ram in national politics, all happened because of Advani. He was the one who filled the hearts of the people with devotion to Ram."

He further alleged that Advani was denied the Prime Ministerial post despite his seniority and was politically sidelined in a manner reminiscent of Mughal history. "When he had the rightful claim to be Prime Minister, he was imprisoned in a way—ousted from power, just like in Mughal culture. When this happened to him, did we question whether it was due to Mughal culture? Then why should we ask Devendraji now? This is politics, and you have done politics," Raut said in response to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
