he coronavirus case count in Mumbai's Dharavi area rose to 3,258 on Monday with 19 new cases coming to light, a senior Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said.

After seeing downward Covid-19 trend in the slum areas, since September Dharavi has been reporting double digit cases

Of 3,258 cases, 2,781 patients have recovered and there are 185 active patients, the official said.

The BMC does not share data of fatalities from the area.

Spread over 2.5 sq km, Dharavi has a population of around 6.5 lakh.
