Mumbai: Increasing death rate in Govandi, BJP's Kirit Somaiya writes to Rajesh Tope
The number of coronavirus patients in the state has reached around 13,000. In Mumbai alone, the number of coronavirus patients is over 8,500.
The highest number of COVOD-19 patients are found in densely populated areas like Dharavi. In Shivajinagar area of Govandi too, the number of COVID-19 patients has been increasing rapidly in the last few days. BJP leader and former MP Kirit Somaiya has written a letter to state Health Minister Rajesh Tope .
The death rate of COVID-19 patients in Mumbai is 4 percent while the death rate of COVID-19 patients in Shivajinagar is 13.4 per cent. 8712 patients are COVID-19 positive in Mumbai. Of these, 322 people have died. In Shivajinagar, 47 out of 352 people have died. Is the situation in Shivaji nagar is getting serious ?, Somaiya asked on Twitter. He has also written a letter to Health Minister Rajesh Tope regarding this.
