According to Western Railway officials, the UP line of the Mumbai-Surat section is currently affected due to a goods train derailment that occurred around 5:08 pm on Tuesday, May 28, at point no 117/118 in the Palghar yard.
Restoration work is currently in progress. Passengers commuting on this route are advised to check with railway authorities for any delays or cancellations before undertaking their journeys.

Local Trains Terminated at Virar and Express Trains Halted Between Virar-Dhanu Road
Train services on the Mumbai-Surat local route are facing disruption due to a goods train derailment. All local trains from Mumbai towards Surat will be terminated at Virar station until further notice.
Train No. 12921 (Mumbai Central - Surat) and Train No. 22935 (Bandra Terminus - Palitana) will halt at all stations between Virar and Dhanu Road to accommodate stranded passengers. Western Railway has set up help desks at Surat, Valsad, Vapi, Udhna Junction, Palghar, and Boisar stations to assist passengers with information and re-scheduling options.
