The Old Kasara Ghat on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway will remain closed for six days due to road repair work. The closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. during two phases. Travelers using this route may face inconvenience and are advised to plan accordingly.
The first phase of the closure will take place from February 24 to February 27. The second phase will be from March 3 to March 6. Nashik-bound traffic will be diverted through the New Kasara Ghat lane on the Nashik-Mumbai route during this period.
Heavy Vehicles Not Allowed
Smaller vehicles will be allowed through the New Kasara Ghat. However, heavy vehicles will not be permitted. Oversized vehicles will be redirected via the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
Authorities Issue Travel Advisory
With road repairs and diversions in place, travelers heading to Mumbai, Nashik, or Shirdi should expect delays and plan their trips accordingly.
Police personnel from Kasara, highway patrol units from Ghoti and Shahapur, and disaster management teams will be stationed at key locations to assist commuters. Help centers will also be set up along the New Kasara Ghat.
