Mumbai: Woman beats traffic police constable in Kalbadevi
In a shocking incident, a video of a woman assaulting a Traffic Police constable in Mumbai's Kalbadevi area has been going viral on social media. In the video shows a violent assault of a Traffic Police constable discharging his duty. In the video, a woman, dressed in a blue salwaar kameez can be seen slapping a police constable while pulling on his collar. The woman alleged that the constable abused her.
The assault took place after the constable reportedly stopped her for not wearing a helmet. However, in the video, the woman, without wearing a mask, has alleged that the constable had abused her using vulgar language.
The woman can be seen hitting and slapping the constable, telling him that he may be a policeman, he had no right to hurl expletives (gaali kyun diya).
The victim has been identified as constable Eknath Parte and he has registered a complaint at LT Marg police station against the accused. The accused have been identified as Sadvika Tiwari (30), a resident of Masjid Bandar and Mohinuddin Khan (26) of Bhendi Bazar.
They both have been arrested. A case has been filed against them under various sections including 571/2020 IPC 353, 332, 504, 506, 34.
