Nagpur: People flout social distancing norms at COVID-19 vaccination facility
COVID-19 vaccination facility in Nagpur on Wednesday witnessed huge gathering of people as social distancing went for a toss. People gathered at the faclity to get the vaccine shot. However there were some flaws in Nagpur Municipal Corporation's arrangement as both registered & non-registered people were waiting at the facility.
One of the person waiting for inoculation said, "There're flaws in NMC's arrangements. No social distancing as both registered & non-registered people waiting. Registered lot must be given preference".
India commenced its second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive to inoculate people above 60 years and those over 45 with comorbidities against the coronavirus from March 1.
The eligible beneficiaries who are entitled to receive the Covid-19 vaccine from March 1, were able to register themselves on the Co-WIN platform from Monday onwards. The Central government has created the Co-WIN application dedicated to monitor real-time management of Covid-19 vaccination across the country.
