Bholanath Thakur, a former corporator of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation died by suicide by hanging himself on Friday afternoon. The reason for his suicide has not yet found. Bholanath Thakur (52) was elected from Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Ward No. 1 in the year 2000.

He committed suicide at his residence 'Digha' on Friday afternoon. He had recently joined Shiv Sena after leaving NCP. Upon receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and further investigation is underway.

The exact cause of his suicide is not yet clear.
