In the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena failed to impress voters and was disappointed after getting no seats. This created a lot of discussion in the political circle of the state. In this situation, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray and his Son Amit Thackeray were seen taking different takes and this raised a lot of eyebrows.

Now MNS is focusing on the upcoming municipal elections. A meeting of all the party leaders was held at Raj Thackeray’s residence. In that meeting, they discussed the strategies to battle in this election. They reviewed the whole situation and also MNS is gearing up to ensure that the same thing that happened in the assembly elections does not happen again in the municipal elections.

For bagging no votes in Assembly Elections 2024, Raj Thackeray said in the party's rally that MNS candidates got votes, but they disappeared. He blamed it on the glitch in the voting machines.

However, Raj Thackeray’s son, Amit Thackeray, who lost the Mahim constituency, admitted that the decision to contest the elections from Mahim was a mistake. He expressed the opinion that blaming the failure on the voting machines means covering up the mistakes made by the office bearers.

This has sparked speculation that there is a difference of opinion between the Thackerays. In the meantime, Mahayuti leaders have been visiting Shiv Tirtha, Raj Thackeray's residence, more frequently in recent days. Uday Samant, the leader of the Shiv Sena Shinde group, and his brother Kiran Samant met Raj Thackeray a few days after Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Raj Thackeray. There are rumors that Raj Thackeray and MNS will join hands with the Mahayuti in the upcoming municipal elections.
