Amid allegations that Maharashtra minister Sanjay Rathod is linked to the death of a 23-year-old Pooja Chavan, many people are coming forward to support him. Sarpanch of Kalvati Tanda in Ambajogai taluka of Beed district has resigned from the party after making serious allegations against BJP. Sarpanch Kamal Nathrao Chavan on Tuesday sent his resignation letter to BJP state president Chandrakant Patil in support of Sanjay Rathod.

The resignation letter read,"I am Kamal Nathrao Chavan Kalvati, Tal. Ambajogai, Dist. As Sarpanch of Beed, I am resigning from my BJP membership.

The reason for Kamal Chavan's resignation, he alleged that after the death of leader Gopinath Munde, BJP leaders from time to time are conspiring to oust Maharashtra's OBC leadership and high-ranking Banjara community leader Sanjay Rathod.

Some social media posts and the BJP have claimed the woman, who died after falling from a building in Pune's Hadapsar area on February 8, was in a relationship with the cabinet minister.

The deceased Chavan (22) - hailed from Beed district and had just come to Pune to attend an English-speaking course. She was living along with two youth, said to be her brother and his friend. On February 8, she allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a building named Heaven Park in the Wanawadi area of the city, sparking off a controversy.
