Pune: Relatives of two COVID-19 deceased refused to accept their bodies

Five deaths have been reported in Pune in last 24 hours today. With this, death toll due to COVID-19 has reached 13.  

Also day before yesterday, relatives of two deceased refused to accept their bodies so Pune Municipal Corporation workers performed their last rites, said Shekhar Gaikwad, Commissioner, Pune Municipal Commission. 

India's tally of positive COVID-19 cases stands at 5,194, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday.

Out of the 5194 cases, 4,643 are reported to be active while 401 people have recovered or have been discharged and one has migrated. The death toll stands at 149.
