Pune: Vehicle movement stopped in the city from Monday evening
Taking a major step as people are not staying at home despite section 144 being imposed, Pune Police Commissioner Dr K Venkatesham on Monday said that now vehicle movement would be stopped completely.
To prevent the spread of Coronavirus, section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) has been imposed in all the urban areas of Maharashtra including Pune City and Pimpri Chinchwad from today March 23 till March 31. Section 144 which prohibits the gathering of more than four persons.
