Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Friday informed that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Taking to Twitter, he requested people who came in his contact to get tested for coronavirus. He said he is in good health.

Union Minister of State and Republican Party of India chief Ramdas Athavale has advised state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh to take care of himself in his trademark style. After Anil Deshmukh was exposed to corona infection, Ramdas Athavale tweeted and advised him to be careful.

"Anil Deshmukhji, don't be afraid of Corona, Maine to bola hai go corona, corona se mat harona", tweeted Ramdas Athavale.

Many users have reacted to this tweet. While many have responded to his post through memes, many have praised him for his caring nature.

"Today my corona test report has come positive and I am in good health. However, I urge everyone who came in my contact to get tested for coronavirus. I will overcome Corona soon and return to your service," read Deshmukh's tweet roughly translated from Marathi.
