Rajya Sabha chairperson M Venkaiah Naidu objecting to Udayanraje Bhosale's slogan while taking oath has created a stir back in the state. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has also given his opinion on the whole issue.

Raut gave Venkaiah Naidu a clean chit. He said, Naidu behaved according to the rules of the House, but we also have great feelings towards Chhatrapati Shivaji which we are expressing. He said that the slogan 'Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji' was as important as Jai Hind and Vande Mataram.

Rajya Sabha chairperson M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday administered the oath to 45 of 61 members newly elected to the upper house.

The newly elected members of Rajya Sabha took oath as Rajya Sabha MPs today. Due to coronavirus pandemic, the ceremony was conducted by following all social distancing and other rules. While taking oath, BJP MP from Maharashtra Udayanraje Bhosale chanted "Jai Hind, Jai Maharashtra, Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji".

Rajya Sabha chairperson M Venkaiah Naidu warned Udayanraje Bhosle "You are new to the House, so let me tell you this will not go on the record, only your oath will be recorded. It should be noted in the future that chanting slogans is not allowed in the House.

Meanwhile, after the video of this incident went viral on social media. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut took to twitter to target the BJP on the incident. He wrote,"Who will testify that the descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was insulted in Delhi Rajya Sabha? Why is the BJP silent? Why Sambhaji Bhide has not yet announced for Sangli-Satara bandh"
