Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has expressed distrust over the working of the Mumbai Police in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

BJP MLA Ram Kadam had tweeted in support of Kangana, "I will appeal to the Chief Minister and the Home Minister of the state that action should be taken on it. For the uninitiated, BJP leader Ram Kadam had tweeted to Kangana, "It's been more than 100 hours 4 days since actress @KanganaTeam she is ready to expose the Bollywood-Drug mafia nexus but she needs protection. Unfortunately, the Maharashtra Government hasn't provided her with any protection until now. @OfficeofUT @AnilDeshmukhNCP @CPMumbaiPolice".

To which Kangana responded saying,Thank you for your concern sir, I am actually more scared of Mumbai police now than movie mafia goons, in Mumbai I would need security either from HP government or directly from the Centre, No Mumbai police please."

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has now targeted Kangana Ranaut's statement. Raut said, "You show distrust in Mumbai police. If anyone wants security of another state, then they should leave Maharashtra and go to their own state." The Home Minister of the state should respond to this immediately, it doesn't matter who the person is. You are showing distrust in the state, in the police where you are earning your livelihood. This is dishonesty. If political parties are standing behind such people, it is also a big dishonesty, said Sanjay Raut.
