Mumbai 26/11 terror attack accused Tahawwur Hussain Rana was brought to India from US on Thursday morning. Following which the court remanded Tahawwur Rana in NIA custody for 18 days. The investigating agency is thoroughly interrogating Tahawwur Rana in connection with the Mumbai terror attack. On the other hand, a political controversy has erupted where Shiv Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut has targeted the BJP over the extradition of Tahawwur Rana. Sanjay Raut claimed that there was a political motive behind bringing Tahawwur Rana to India and claimed that the announcement of death sentence will be announced during Bihar elections. While reacting to the Raut's statement Fadnavis Stated that, "I don't respond to such baseless claims". Sanjay Raut retaliated against the Chief Minister.

Sanjay Raut had stated that Rana will be hanged before the Bihar and West Bengal elections and that this issue will be used for campaigning before the elections. There is a political motive behind bringing Tahawwur Rana to India. If Rana has been brought to India, the administration and the investigation agencies should be praised, why should the BJP take credit for it? At a press conference in Mumbai, journalists had asked Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis a question regarding Sanjay Raut's claim. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reacted to this. "I do not answer fools. You do this, I am telling you again. I do not answer fools," said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This video of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is being made viral by BJP supporters. Sanjay Raut has also posted this video and asked the BJP a question.
