Sharad Pawar: Patience, understanding and proper vigilance will help win battle against the virus

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has urged the citizens to stay at home amidst the coronavirus outbreak, which has claimed over 8 lives and infected 425 people in India.

Pawar said that patience, understanding and proper vigilance is required to win this battle against coronavirus. "We are about to win the battle against coronavirus, but we need patience, understanding and proper vigilance," he said.

Given the rise in the number of positive cases in the country, the decision taken by the state and the central government needs to be taken seriously and implemented, said the NCP chief. He added that Section 144 has been imposed in the state, however, people are still filling the streets, which is very concerning.

"Leave the house only when it is very important. Otherwise do not leave the house," appealed Pawar.

माझे नागरिकांना आवाहन आहे की अपरिहार्यता असल्याशिवाय कोणत्याही परिस्थितीत घराबाहेर पडू नये. प्रधानमंत्री, राज्याचे मुख्यमंत्री यांच्या आवाहनाची अति गांभार्याने नोंद घेऊन पोलीस आणि शासकीय यंत्रणांना सहकार्य करावे. ही लढाई आपण जिंकणारच, गरज आहे संयम, समंजसपणा व योग्य दक्षतेची!
