On August 7, the CBI took over the Sushant death case on the request of the Bihar government after a central government notification.

The opposition had demanded a CBI probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The conflict between the opposition party and Shiv Sena has increased since then. Now that the CBI has taken over the Sushant death case, Sena has demanded that even the deaths of Judge BH Loya and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Gopinath Munde should be probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Former Union minister and Sena leader Arvind Sawant said, “Even we demand CBI inquiry into the death of Justice Loya. What about the death of Gopinath Mude? The CBI should investigate that too.”

Arvind Sawant also questioned Centre's acceptance of the Bihar government’s request and thereby junking the principles of federalism by immediately handing over the case to the CBI.

Though Munde had died in a road incident, there were some murmurs of foul play in the incident. However, no one has so far, demanded any such inquiry.

Rajput, 34, was found dead in his apartment in Bandra on June 14.
