Stranded migrants gather outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai for their trains

Migrant workers gathered at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai today to board 'Shramik special' trains to Bihar. "3 trains will depart for Darbhanga, Kishanganj & Katihar. All trains will carry around 1600 migrants," says LS Dhonde, ACP Mumbai.

Migrants were seen standing in queues with heavy luggage in their hands, along with their families at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.

The government has allowed operation of Shramik special trains for the purpose of repatriation of stranded people amid the coronavirus lockdown, which has been extended till May 31.
