Bollywood star Suniel Shetty has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar Award’ for his contribution towards the recent COVID-19 relief efforts as per a E-Times report. The Dhadkan actor had arranged for large scale food supply for the Dabbawalas who were finding it difficult to make ends meet during the pandemic.Shetty was conferred with the award by the Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari at the Raj Bhavan on Saturday evening.
Humbled by the honour, the actor said in a statement, "Don’t do things to be noticed but do things to be remembered... give and forget ... accept and always remember. "The ceremony was a closed-door affair with only 25 people in attendance. On the work front, Suniel Shetty has a number of projects lined up in his kitty including some south releases. One of the films starring Suniel Shetty in a pivotal role will be Marakkar, directed by Priyadarshan. He will also be seen in a prominent role in a film directed by Shabnam Kapoor titled Helloo India. Mosagallu, directed by Jeffrey Gee Chin, will also see the actor playing a crucial role.
