Transfer posting racket of Maharashtra Police: Fadnavis arrives at MHA to meet Union Home Secretary
Maharahtra Opposition Leader Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday arrives at Ministry of Home Affairs office in Delhi.
The BJP leader had sought time from Union Home Secretary to meet him and hand him over 6.3 GB of data of call recordings and some documents pertaining to alleged transfer posting racket of IPS and non-IPS officers of Maharashtra Police.
Fadnavis today in his press conference said, Commissioner of Intelligence sent a report of intercepted calls suspicious to be involved in transfer racket to DG Maharashtra in Aug '20. It was forwarded to CM later & he expressed concern but no action was taken. I have data of 6.3 GB containing all information.
Fadnavis also lashed out at the state Home Minister and Chief Minister over the alleged transfer posting racket in the police force. Rashmi Shukla, the then commissioner of intelligence, had received information that there was a huge racket of transfers in the police force and that several officers were also involved. Taking action accordingly, many strong evidences were collected and a detailed report was sent to the Chief Minister along with the Director General of Police and the Home Minister. But why the Chief Minister has not taken any action on it yet?", questioned Devendra Fadnavis.
