A couple was booked for allegedly misbehaving with Traffic police personnel in Miraroad area of Thane. The whole incident was captured on the video after which it went viral. We have registered a case against two persons for misbehaving with on-duty Traffic police personnel under relevant sections of the IPC, said the police.

In the video, a man is seen threatening to 'beat up' the cop, while a woman accompanying him says she will 'sell' the cop to get their car repaired. Krishnat Dabde, a police constable of the traffic branch, was taking action against the vehicle that was parked in no-parking area. The incident took place on July 8 when the accused had parked his car at a no-parking zone in Mira Road. When the traffic cop on duty in the area wheel-locked the vehicle, the accused identified as Amar Singh along with his wife Meena Singh, threatened to rip off his uniform.

On the other hand, the police personnel didn’t retaliate and tried to calm down the situation, but to no avail. Following the registration of a case, the man was seen crying, apologising, and pleading with the police.
