In a brave incident, a Mumbai police constable saved a life of a 32-year-old woman, who was trying to jump off the terrace of a building in Malad (west) on Saturday.

The whole incident was recorded in a video when the woman, resident of Worli, after having an argument with her husband over phone tried to jump off the terrace.

The incident occurred at Dipak Apartment near Chincholi park in Malad (West) on Saturday afternoon. The woman along with her husband had come her mother's house in Malad. The woman was drunk when she tried to jump off the terrace.

"I received a call about a woman trying to commit suicide by jumping off the terrace. I rushed at the spot. The women's husband was also on the terrace and was trying to save her,” said constable Shrikant Deshpande from Malad police station.

“I asked the husband to divert her mind by conversing with her. I grabbed her before she could jump,” he added.
