A statement from Wockhardt Hospital said, several of our healthcare professionals tested positive for COVID-19 at South Mumbai facility.The source of the infection is identified as a 70 year old patient who was admitted on March 17 for a cardiac emergency. Later,patient tested positive for COVID-19. 

Our colleague nurses and the doctors identified as COVID-19 positive are presently being treated. The hospital is currently declared containment zone by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and we are closely working with the authorities, added the statement from Wockhardt Hospital.

On Monday, three doctors and 26 nurses and paramedical staff tested positive for novel coronavirus in Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai following which the hospital was sealed to prevent spread of infection. No one is allowed to enter or exit the private hospital. Also a probe has been ordered to find out how so many people got infected at the facility.
