'Housing Jihad': Shiv Sena Leader Sanjay Nirupam Alleges Muslim Builders Rejecting Hindu Applicants in SRA Projects

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam sent a letter to Maharashtra Housing and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and to the chief of the slum-developing body in Mumbai, the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), alleging 'housing jihad' in projects.

In a letter to party chief Eknath Shinde, Nirupam said that some builders in SRA projects are implementing 'Housing Jihad' through their projects and trying to change the demography of certain areas. He alleged that Muslim developers are rejecting Hindu applications, terming them ineligible for SRA flats or shops.

Shiv Sena leader further alleged that these builders are trying to fit in the maximum number of Muslim people in their SRA projects. He alleged that through this 'Housing Jihad', Muslim builders are trying to change the demography of Mumbai and increase the concentration of the Muslim population through SRA Projects.

Earlier, Sanjay Nirupam hailed the Prime Minister Modi-led BJP for its victory in the recently concluded Delhi Assembly elections. He said a historic power shift had taken place in the National Capital, Describing the Arvind Kejriwal-led party as a misgovernance.

"A historic power shift has taken place in Delhi. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party ran an effective and successful election campaign, resulting in the end of the misgovernance led by Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal," said Nirupam.
