A 56-year-old man committed suicide by jumping off the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The Bandra police have reported that Bhavesh Sheth, the individual in question, took his own life due to financial difficulties. Sheth, a resident of Ghatkopar, has had a case of accidental death registered at the Bandra Police Station. Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Marathe of Bandra Police Station stated that further investigation is ongoing.

An officer from the Bandra police mentioned that a suicide note was recovered from Sheth. Police investigation also revealed that before jumping from the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Sheth made a video call to his son and told him that he was going to commit suicide. Sheth also sent a photo of his suicide note to his son.

Sheth asked for a lift from a car heading to the Worli Sea Link, claiming that his car was at the other end of the link. Upon reaching the middle of the sea link, Sheth asked the driver to stop the car, got out, and committed suicide.

Around 4 PM on Wednesday, local fishermen informed the police that someone had jumped off the sea link. Upon receiving the information, the Bandra police reached the spot and launched a search operation with the help of the Mumbai Fire Brigade and fishermen, eventually recovering Sheth's body from the sea. The police officer stated that Bhavesh had jumped into the deep sea while heading towards Bandra. The Bandra police took possession of the body and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem.

The police are continuing their investigation into this matter and are gathering information about Sheth from his family members.
